Daniel Tompkins's voice. Enough said. But really, though, I've been waiting for this album for a long time, and I'm so happy that it's finally here and that it's AMAZING! Can't stop listening. Perfect blend of lyricism, synth, TesseracT influence, and even humor ("just screw it," best lyric of 2017). Come to NYC, guys. I'll be in the front row.
  2. Abandoned Mansion
    by Dr. Dog
    Survive Survive
Dr. Dog is a band that I came across a few years ago and with which I instantly fell in love. Their playful melodies and light-hearted (and sometimes heartbreaking) lyrics make me think, make me dance, and make me love life. This stripped-back, relaxing album is no different. Add the fact that the proceeds went to the SPLC and you have a million different reasons why this album is wonderful. Thanks, Dr. Dog, for making us all happy and for giving us something wholesome to sing along with.

There are no words to adequately express my appreciation for Elliot Coleman as a musician. His vocals speak volumes to me, especially in this EP. Shame they didn't release more music, but at least we have this gem. Highly recommend.

I bought the EP within seconds of listening to the first track. Super catchy, groovy, and clever.
