  10. This Can't Exist
    by Native Nod
Reminds me of my college days, when i was in (we all were in!?) a band with a screaming/talking singer. These guys hit different tho. I had to grab a copy.

    Szerencsétlen Szerencsétlen
Venetian Snares for someone like me, who has a kind of “phonographic memory”, I can’t get enough. It’s practically impossible to memorize every beat, every note (something that plagues me with other music). Aside from all that, Aaron Funk has to be one of the most brilliant producers/composers I have ever come across. I can’t get enough. This and Detrimentalist are perfect intros to Venetian Snares. Then once yr hooked, there’s SO MUCH MORE. Prolific is a gross understatement

Brave Men Run (In My Family) Brave Men Run (In My Family)
I’ve seen Sonic Youth multiple times. The last time I saw them was in 2006 at McCarren Park Pool with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Awesome Color. As usual, they were incredible. They were the soundtrack to my art-obsessed angst-ridden youth Living in Brooklyn now, I had to have this archive that spans their amazing career. SY is to NY what NY was to us kids growing up in hick towns all across America … both showed the way out!

It Just Fell Down the Back of the Fridge It Just Fell Down the Back of the Fridge
This thing starts out with the quintessential Boyracer sound. It was a pleasure to behold ... before I was even properly dressed (I jumped on it as soon as I saw the email about it). Fantastic Stuff.
