Manchester Orchestra's dreamy, melancholic sound reflects the familiar but rarely discussed sadness that sometimes comes during the holidays, and it's beautiful for that on its own.
The bittersweet lyrics of one of my favorite traditional carols, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," hit me even harder emotionally during the pandemic. Get this and cry a couple little tears, because it's Christmas and darn it, you deserve it.
