That record grooves from beginning to end! It’s an incredible tour de force in all aspects as genres are so well and effortless mixed that I’m speechless about the dynamics and changes of style in a single song.
The drummer is the driving force and forms with the bassist and unbelievably tight rhythm section! This one will be for sure on my Top 10 list for 2022. Check out their label!

It’s very rarely that new music moves me that much while listening to it for the first time. The intensity and sheer beauty of this record brings you to your knees as the body of sound, instrumentation and composition is on such exquisite level that one tries to hold on to something before finally and gracefully letting go to fully enjoy the turmoil and overwhelming sound and emotion. I am deeply touched and still in a state of shock and amazement. Incredible!
  19. The Temple Within
    by Matthew Halsall
The Temple Within is yet another master piece in the catalogue of Matthew Halsall. His ensembles keep fascinating by incredible musicianship and audiophile production. The Temple Within is no exception when it comes to the standards set by his own typical sound and composition. However it’s probably the percussionist that impresses the most and makes the title track the freshest of all songs. Maybe it’s time to leave this safe harbour…..however I am excited to experience Mr. Halsall live soon.
