    Carolina moon Carolina moon
Exceptional debut that swings genuinely through the entire record. Kenny Dothan and Lee Morgan are omnipresent in Kavumas playing. Conor Chaplin on bass does an excellent job keeping the band tight on track with his forward pushing groove and timing.
Another pleasant surprise is the guitarist Artie Zaitz who already knew how to impress on Moses Boyd latest recordings. Nothing less than brillant.
  5. The Banger Factory

The Banger Factory The Banger Factory
Continuing where his self titled debut ended. The larger working group suits the music very well as it gives a larger palette of colours and moods.

  10. Wu Hen
    by Kamaal Williams
It’s the sheer musicality and joy of expressing it that makes Kamaal Williams so special among the overwhelming quantity and quality of UK musicians. Every beat nails it effortlessly, the production is superb and the fusion of styles and colours adds up to a multicoloured and multicultural marketplace of sounds. If there is any musician I think of; it would be Joe Zawinul; from Cannonball to Miles to Weather Report to Syndicate....WuHen could just be the next step in spirit🙏
  11. Suite: April 2020
    by Brad Mehldau
What a treat. I love Brad Mehldau Trio from day one but always considered his solo efforts even more intimate and precious. I believe that his Bach recordings somehow marked the beginning of a new area and the April Suite to me is a natural continuation of that path. So let’s pray for his return on stage as soon as possible and be grateful for his very kind spirit.
  12. The Troubled Flame Departed, Having No More To Say. Final Concert 2004.
    by vidnaObmana
One of my favourite artists in one of my favourite locations. Happy to had the honour to have been there for this very special concert. Dirk Serries live is always an Zen like experience in real time; pinpointing the present moment even if it might be a painful or disturbing one.

  18. Demo 2020
    by Cardinal Maniac
One of those bands where you instantly sense the tremendous skills of the band and the fun they had recording it. Never would have predicted me buying an old school thrash metal album in 2020. Well, mix Motörhead with Metallica and the Rock’n Roll attitude of Peter Pan Speedrock and I am up for it; not to mention Motorpsychos drum wizard Tomas Järmyr.
