Elevator of Tomorrow is perfectly simple yet the complexity of nostalgia and relaxation is unreal. Tracks like The Hugbear Family and Upsy, Your Lifting Friend are a departure from the cadence of the album, itself, yet not jarring in any way, but rather a deep breath or a palette cleanse preparing you for what’s to come. Lastly, Candlenights Miracle is a McElroy triumph, call Casper cause I’m having an ASMR experience. Every time I listen the hairs on my arms immediately react to the first key progression. As corny as it sounds, it makes me dream of simpler times.
