These guys have really pulled some smooth blues tones on this one. Those keys have that gospel music quality all over them and Simon's guitar is cleaner than ever, just on the verge of overdrive at times and with loads of wide ambience. Main man Ryan with the bass skills again and that twangy voice of his are on fire as per usual. There are plenty of tight rockin and even some lazy ass beats being pumped out by the "other" Ryan too..The dude is sitting in that pocket again. For me, those old Sin City Revival tunes are kinda stripped back sounding without a rhythm guitar, but they sound more organ'ic obviously with the keys filling it out some more..they sound great as does that ZZ top number. The instrumental "Indian Summer" takes me to a place before I was even born. That Doorsesque 60's stoner desert vibe is really sweet and sees out another epic Appomattox Run record. Do yourself a flavour. Git some India 👍😎
