If you love real hip-hop that uses a lot of unique samples, then this project is for you. Kembe and Alex go in bar for bar and have a unique chemistry together, whenver it comes being in some of the most vibrant beats
When you infuse various parts of the Paid in Full movie (making the focus of only Ace, the lead character), heavy 90s rap samples, some dope 70s-80s samples, and bars, then you know it's a real-hip hop album and I got that from this.
With using a variety of sounds, emotions, and vibrant energies on this project, this has to be one of the very colorful and unique projects I've heard from a dope R&B singer so far. The rendition of You Make Me Wanna track raised the bar high for me honestly.
I love the unique vibe of this project, as well as the artist's capabilities on the mic, and how he delivered his wordplay and flow on every track. He knows how to be himself without the need of overdoing everything, and it has a dope style during its time of release, which I get the hype and all.
Mewsique incorporates the cabaret theme quite well, and uses a lot of unique post-electronic, baroque, and anti-pop influences to the entirety of her project. When you listen to it, you feel like you're listening to carnival music but without the mainstream influences and more poltergiest vibes and energies. Definitely recommend!
The balance between the production, the recorded vocals, the lyrics, and the energies is all well-set and it brings a unique East Coast vibe that you really have to vibe with. Shout Out to Remy for this dope project.
This album has a unique theme and story to each and every track, and the messages about not regretting love, and living life to the fullest while admiring love and playing it safe are what really captivates this style of music.
