Following the lighter Ballads of Hyrule duology, this album returns to the darker, more oppressive tone found in Sins of Hyrule, albeit with less of a narrative through-line. As always, the arrangements are phenomenal.
While I don't think Impostor Factory hits quite the same highs as Finding Paradise, it's still a very solid and well-told story. The music, as always, is very good, and many scenes just would not be as impactful without it.
Beautiful game. Beautiful soundtrack. Would absolutely recommend to any Metroidvania fan, especially with the additions and adjustments made in Definitive Edition.
(Second favorite track would probably be "The Waters Cleansed"; I'm a sucker for keyboard percussion.)
A nice retraux chiptune soundtrack for a nice retraux game. I'm interested to see more of these characters and their stories.
...It took a lot of willpower to not set Temmie's Room as my favorite track; it's just so happy.
