Inspection Of Cruelty Pt. 1 Inspection Of Cruelty Pt. 1
Memorable, not only for it's melodic exclamations, but also for its vintage vibes and cacophonous textures.

    Morning Drone Morning Drone
Blown away by the bulbous bass and loamy melody lines here. Clearly Sage Thrasher is enthralled by the mystery of moss and the brightness of bird flight, and kindles a contentness in me.

Swirling stench of a ripper right here. Wonderful balance between chaos and finesse.

Sprawling atmospheric black with touches of chaos. Very solid debut. A rare breed. The ending of the title track makes for quite the finisher.

Sinking Our Teeth (Into the Fruit Again) Sinking Our Teeth (Into the Fruit Again)
Benjamin Dean creates a mosaic of heartland rememberances, chamber ingenuity, and even sprinkles in some anatolian influences (especially on Sinking Our Teeth and Southern Flame). There's a punk ethos here that rears its head across the varied adventure through some of the imperfect yet profound performances. He holds his own across each genre painted by each song. Very much looking forward to relistening.
  18. Nightmare Visions
    by Theophonos
    Nightmare Visionary Nightmare Visionary
This is separated from Serpent Column, yet this evokes the same adoration from me. The intensity of every instrument is consistent throughout the playing and the engineering. The guitar and cymbals bloom and die, while the kick keeps watch. The *-core aspects of this are even more apparent in this release than previous ones. So much so that I get hints of Zao-isms in the vocals and The Jonbenét-isms in many of the clearer riffs.
