  1. Bestiary
    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
Nesting on Cliffsides Nesting on Cliffsides
This album I consider not only Roberts best but in the top 3 best albums ever made since the invention of the moog! A completely surreal masterwork. This album is the glurp-bug album. beginning with bubbling goo, moving into strange alien like sequencing, then leads into sonic dark space like ambiance, ending in a vocal piece robert sings in a 400 year old dead language. It truly is up there with dali and the great masters of surrealism It should be in a museum. I have a signed copy in a frame!
  2. Lift a Feather to the Flood
by Robert Rich & Markus Reuter
    00:00/00:00
We Shed the Remnants of Last Winter We Shed the Remnants of Last Winter
Robert makes one of his finest and most experimental work to date. I've been a 20 year fan and this record became very personal to me quickly. It's a dark undulating moody emotional experience. Robert plays piano through all of it creeping along with MR's almost ghostly ambient guitar work. It's ,mournful, powerful graceful and hypnotic. It is one of Roberts darkest expressions. It's another astounding achievement by one of the best and always changing artists of our age. Robert Rich!
  3. Vestiges
    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
Anchorless on Quiet Tide Anchorless on Quiet Tide
The follow up "sister" album to earlier this year's "What We Leave Behind". Robert continues the same style on this but makes the mixture between the dark and light even more prevalent. Robert mixes in soft abstract piano and more natural sound design to finish his viewpoint on the world after we are gone. Like entering some ancient primordial gateway to the unknown, Robert again creates a astounding moody and superb album. Hardcore RR fans will love this. A must have.
  4. Foothills: Robert Rich Live on KFJC, 28 May 2014
    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
    Particles Particles
A highly experimental concert from the Glurp Guru! One gets the sense of complete transmutation in sound. Like an artist creating as he goes and throwing the rule book out the window. Also one of the most unique out of his many live albums. With Robert it's always hard to pick a favorite, but it's pure unexpected nature makes it a rare find and great listen. A master forming and changing with every turn of the key. Hardcore fans will appreciate it.
  5. Ici et Maintenant: Live in Paris, May 12 1989
    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
Ici Part 2 Ici Part 2
This is one of Roberts most stunning live performances. Recorded early in his career, this album is like listening to a concert Pianist dancing across his keys with astounding beauty. Both performances play like they could have been early RR studio albums. I was simply blown away. If you are a RR fan you need to hear this concert. Robert Rich is the finest electronic artist in the world today. A gifted, prodigy, from the very beginning and always is ever changing and growing. Grat job Robert!
  6. Lumin: Live at Camerawork, March 6 2008
    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
Lumin Part 3 Lumin Part 3
Lumin is another completely drift concert that plays almost like a studio recording. Robert puts you in a dream rowboat, takes the oars and transports you across an ocean of calm soundwaves. I'm always surprised by what RR can do. He's an artist at the top of his field and genre. Drift on Robert!

    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
Mycosphere Part 1 Mycosphere Part 1
A really great on the spot radio performance from RR. Much in the vein of Zerkalo or Frozen Day mixed in with a little Illumination. I like it because since it is a radio broadcast it plays like a studio album. I also love it just because I love Robert Rich! Hardcore fans it's a must.
  9. Zerkalo
    by Robert Rich and Faryus
    00:00/00:00
Zerkalo Part 2 Zerkalo Part 2
A great dark ethereal experience. Robert recorded this in Russia while over for a gig. In the Vein of Illumination and Frozen Day,Zerkalo is a must for fans of dark ambient music. Haunting, primordial ooze. The cd was a 1000 copy pressing that is now out of print so the mp3 is all that's left. Robert Rich is a Master at the top of his field in electronic soudscapes.
  10. Frozen Day
    by Robert Rich
    00:00/00:00
    Frozen Day Frozen Day
I'm glad Robert finally got on Bandcampand put this up. A hour long piece he recorded in one day outside his house then overlapped and edited it into an hour of music. Robert did a great job of taking something simple and turning it into a slow complex mixture of cold dark sound. It's in the same vein as Illumination and Zerkalo. Thanks for getting this out there for purchase Robert.
A must for hardcore RR fans.
  11. Synapse-Shaihulud
    by FIVE THOUSAND SPIRITS
    00:00/00:00
From These Ashes From These Ashes
Another outstanding release from 5000 spirits. Raffaele Serra+Steffano Musso(Alio Die). The collaboration of these two artists has produced 7 of the most unique and astonishing albums in the electronic/ambient/sound design world. They mix all genres
into a mix that I can't praise enough. Beautiful, haunting, spiritualistic, and dare I say genius. All fans of Alio Die should check these out. But know that they are unlike his solo albums. They are a completely different blend. I pray they do more!

    by FIVE THOUSAND SPIRITS
    00:00/00:00
    Uhura's Song Uhura's Song
One of the best and most surreal albums in the Alio Die catalog. A mixture of dark, liquid like, highly experimental industrial ambiance. Mixed with minimal drumming, surrounded by strange voices, haunting piano, mournful cries, and sound design that is some of the best I've ever found. This album is unlike anything you've heard. It's an absolute Masterpiece, and my personal fav-Spirits album. A must for hardcore AlioDie fans or fans of Raffaele Serra. In the realms of the surreal. What a find.
  13. Quantum Consciousness
    by FIVE THOUSAND SPIRITS
    00:00/00:00
Reflections On Black Reflections On Black
I love 5000 spirits. I own all the albums. This union between Alio Die and Raffaele Serra produced some of the best electronic music ever made. I can't say enough on how great they are. This album is no different. I highly recommend these albums for anyone who loves cross mixing between old school and new more industrial like albums. They are highly underrated.
  14. Towards Edentea
    by FIVE THOUSAND SPIRITS
    00:00/00:00
    Superior Colliculus Superior Colliculus
Another great achievement by 5000 spirits. This album more attune to a darker easten style while mixing in offset drumming, soft moving guitar rhythm numbers, speaking, walking, looping, choral monk chants, among other sound design experiences and stranger keyboard modulations. You find the collaboration of Raffaele Serra and Stefano Musso (aka 5000 spirits ) a truly genius union. On every album, and this is no different. 5000 Spirits-ethereal-surreal-music from the ether!
  15. Enigma
    by SOLA TRANSLATIO
    00:00/00:00
Turbulence Of The Creation Turbulence Of The Creation
A great earlier work from the Alio Die camp. The album is a unique blend of experimental sound work mixed with organic electronics. It has some darker material that mixes with the usual sureness of Alio Die. I like it because of it's more darker experimental nature. It's my first taste of the Sola Translato works.
Just a great ambient sonic experimental experience.
  16. Ad Infinitum
    by SOLA TRANSLATIO
    00:00/00:00
Absorbed In The Desert Of Loneliness Absorbed In The Desert Of Loneliness
The 3rd Sola Translato work in the Alio Die world. This album is in the same vein as "Mother Sunrise" but has a moodier effect. Ominous but sublime drone like substance that is a treat for the ears. If you like Alio Die's work I can't see not liking the Sola Translatio works. All 3 albums range and mix the abstract with the pulsing drift of wonderful ambiance. I've never heard a bad Alio Die. He is simply one of the most unique and favored artists in the ambient genre.
  17. Angel's Fly Souvenir
by Alio Die & Francesco Paladino
    00:00/00:00
A Fly To The Haunt A Fly To The Haunt
One of Alio die's most experimental collabs. Utilizing a great deal of sound design. Strange voices, grunts, scrapes, breaths, mixing with very dark minimalist slow drones. These are my favorite kind of his many diverse styles. Completely abstract. Surrealism at it's best . Hardcore fans it's a must! Be prepared for a mind altering sound experience!
Alio can't be topped when it comes to sonic experimentation. If you like this one also try Aqua Planing. Strange, elusive, haunting and superb!
  18. Sol Niger
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
    Internal Haunt Internal Haunt
If your an Alio Die fan you know it's hard to pick a favorite. But out of the 30 or so I own. I pick this one. Simply because Sol Niger seems to capture all his styles in one record. There are the strange sounds/nature sounds prevalent w/ ambient drone loops/tribal drumming/and covers a range of emotion. It falls a bit on the darker side but has some lighter material as well. If your a fan it's a must have. If your interested in trying him out it's a great one to start with. The man is a genius!
  19. A Circular Quest
    by ALIO DIE & ZEIT
    00:00/00:00
    Brahman Brahman
One of the many Alio -Zeit collabs. But this one Is far more varied than most others. Utilizing the normal collab style you would expect but this time the pieces are shorter and the background drones differ on every track. I won't pick an a-z favorite collab album but this one is great. It just had to go with the collection! Hardcore fans won't be let down.
  20. The Sleep Of Seeds
by ALIO DIE ≈ SAFFRON WOOD
    00:00/00:00
The Sleep Of Seeds The Sleep Of Seeds
Another one of Alio Die's extremely experimental works. Constantly combining natural worldly sounds with shifting and changing ambiance. I originally had overlooked this record. I bought the t-shirt just to have an alio die shirt and received this as a free download. I bought the cd before I even finished listening to it. If your a fan of the extreme abstract and surreal. You'll love this. It caught me by surprise and blew me away!
  21. Sitar Meditations
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
Periphery of Shadows Periphery of Shadows
One of Alio's darkest and most surreal works that doesn't vary to much through out the album. But Alio uses the Sitar to make almost mournful deep undulations and waves of music that sound like the awakening of some long dead spirit in an ancient reliquary or tomb. It has a ghostly yet repetitious ethereal feel that I found astounding. Originally it was one I thought I'd pass on but out of sheer need for more Alio I bought it and am really glad I did!
    A must for hardcore fans!
  22. Elusive Metaphor
by Alio Die & Parallel Worlds
    00:00/00:00
The Dispersed Expectance The Dispersed Expectance
I bought this because I've listened to Alio Die for years but recently got into Parallel Worlds. When I saw they had 2 collabs I went through them and chose this one simply because it's a darker more hallucinatory sound experience. I was quite blown away and is one of Alio's best collabs and works period. It's strange, surreal, undulating music wrapped around small bubbling rhythms with some industrial sound design thrown in. Much like drinking ether on Jupiter..for lunch :)
    Great album.
  23. Circo Divino
by Alio Die | Parallel Worlds
    00:00/00:00
    Electrostatic Forest Electrostatic Forest
A really different superb collaboration from Alio Die and Parallel worlds. The album evokes thoughts of early historical visions mixed occasionally with abstract female voice patterns and obscure secret drones combined with Alio's usual hypnotic magic. It was one at first I thought I wouldn't like but ended up loving it. Alio die fans will not be let down. This is the first of 2 collabs between the two. The other "elusive metaphor" is just as good if not better. Another great work by a master.
  24. Tempus Rei
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
Extract from Tempus Rei - Part II Extract from Tempus Rei - Part II
The second album in Alio Die's Castle Trilogy. While the other two albums deal with ancient choral movements and ambiance, this album deals with ancient instruments mixed and looped in typical wondrous Die style. It's an amazing trilogy, and this album fits perfectly into the middle. A great album. A great trilogy. A great artist.
  25. Horas Tibi Serenas
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
Extract from "In the Labyrinth Garden + Ultima Latet".. Extract from "In the Labyrinth Garden + Ultima Latet"..
The 3rd album in the Alio Die castles series. A beautiful soft ambent album utilizing ancient choral voices with alio dies usual brilliance. A must for alio die fans. The castle series is one of alio's most unique and best works. Alio die is one of the best artists in the ambient genre
  26. Descendre Cinq Lacs Au Travers D'Une Voilé
by ALIO DIE & YANNICK DAUBY
    00:00/00:00
Descendre Cinq Lacs Au Travers D'Une Voilé Descendre Cinq Lacs Au Travers D'Une Voilé
A brilliant collaboration EP from Alio Die. Highly ambient and somewhat industrialized in it's tone, but a real surprise. A must for Alio Die fans.
  27. Aurea Hora
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
    Hora Aurea Hora Aurea
An EP that turns out to be one of Alio Die's most dark and creative experiences. Strange muted chanting, black slow mechanical like drones. Hauntingly eerie and beautiful. I must say as a long time fan it did surprise me, and since I love dark drone music this was a great find. Alio doesn't delve this deep very often, and even though it's short it's a phenomenal work. Fans of the darker side of surreal industrial-like ambiance will love this!
  28. Il sogno di un piano veneziano a Parigi
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
L'oblio nella culla dorata L'oblio nella culla dorata
A great album to say the least. Leans on the more experimental side of Alio Die's work. Strange sounds, voices mixed with soft ambient drones with piano. This album was a real surprise in it's structure but a treat none the less. If you like the stranger side of Alio Die..this album is a must.
  29. Khen Introduce Silence
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
Gli Ossidi Del Divenire Gli Ossidi Del Divenire
A great drone sound album by Alio Die utilizing the "Khen" Organ" mixed with his usual flare for nature sounds and whispers, moving in and out between light and more moody pieces. An erray of styles intermingling into a more eastern slow organic experience. Alio Die is a master of combining sound and music. Hardcore fans this is a great one.
  30. Lento
by ALIO DIE & LINGUA FUNGI
    00:00/00:00
Stato di Grazia Stato di Grazia
The second collab between AD and LF. It is somewhat similar in style to Otter Songs but it's lighter and utilizes a more acoustic sound. Much less rustic in nature. A lovely warm flowing experience with more uplifting spiritual overtones. A great listen through and through.
  31. They Grow Layers of Life Within
    by ALIO DIE
    00:00/00:00
    Real-Life Mystery Real-Life Mystery
I found this astonishingly beautiful. I own over 40 AD cd's. This is another almost magical and uplifting spiritual work from Alio. In he same vein as his more recent work but I particularly enjoyed this one. It is brightly lit and shining. Creating a portal to a wonderful floating weightless environment. If your a fan and like his recent albums you'll love this one!
  32. Rêverie
by Alio Die & Antonio Testa
    00:00/00:00
Honey Mushroom IV Honey Mushroom IV
This is the 3rd collaboration I have bought from Alio Die & Antonio Testa. An even softer experience than the others. Less tribal drumming but more drifting ambiance that soothes the spirit. Was Really happy to see a part 4 of honey mushroom. Parts 1-3 appear on Alio Die's Honeysuckle record. This album is similar in it's softness to honeysuckle. A great addition to any Alio Die collection.
  33. Opera Magnetica
    by ALIO DIE & AGLAIA
    00:00/00:00
Shape of the Wind Shape of the Wind
As a fan of Aglaia and Alio Die, this 4th collab is once again a beautiful serene experience. I doesn't differ much from the others, so don't expect something massively surprising. But wonderful as usual none the less
  34. The Petrified Forest [6 track mini-album]
    by Biosphere
    00:00/00:00
    Black Mesa Black Mesa
As a 10 year Biosphere fan I have to admit I liked Departed Glories and N-plants. They did grow on me(Stator was great). But the EP.s he's come out with like Hilverenbeek recordings and now Petrified Forest more than make up for any cynicism I might have come too. This EP especially is Geir at his best. I now have to rent the movie to see what inspired him. Black Mesa is especially one of the best Biosphere beat work he's done..and that's saying alot! I can't see any fan not loving it.
  35. The Hilvarenbeek Recordings
    by Biosphere
    00:00/00:00
    Audax Audax
A great experimental EP from Biosphere.Recorded outdoors at Hivarenbeek , the albums leans heavily between the completely abstract while mixing in serene keys to make a short but unique sound experience. I can't see any Biosphere fan not enjoying this short collection of songs. One of the more elusive of the Biosphere catalog available only as download only on Bandcamp!
  36. Dark Zero
    by Rapoon
    00:00/00:00
Just Don't Wanna Just Don't Wanna
LTd pressing of 400 copies of a very unique dark Rapoon album. Falls under the category of Rapoons more industrial ambiance works with occasional tribal beats mixed with dark drone works in between. Personally one of Rapoons best in the last few years. His website is sold out. Glad I found the MP3 on Bandcamp. A must for hardcore Rapoon fans.
  37. seven pillars of fire (EP)
    by Rapoon
    00:00/00:00
seven pillars of fire seven pillars of fire
A great industrial ambient 20 minute long piece by Rapoon. Moving from the soft and angelic into the darker more surreal. A astounding EP by a 30 year master of electronic industrial ambient music. If your a Rapoon fan give this one a listen.
    appears in 1 other collection
  38. Un Flic
    by Rapoon
    00:00/00:00
army of shadows army of shadows
Aftar 30 years of making music,Rapoon comes out with another brilliant dark album. I find this work reflects a bit of all styles of Rapoon, meaning some drum looped pieces mixed with some of the darkest rapoon drone works I've heard. He mixes in voices occasionally and very predominately on the last track which becomes a powerful ending to a great record. Long time rapoon fans will love it and if you like dark ambient you should give this a listen. Great job Robin!
  39. Exit Strategy (DiN37)
    by Ian Boddy& Parallel Worlds
    00:00/00:00
    Return Return
This album is one of the most stunning collaborations Ian Boddy has ever made. It is powerful, emotional, surreal, mechanical, organic, fast moving beats marked by strange glurpy interludes. Finishing with a soaring empowered reprise of the beginning of the album. Coming full circle. Ian and parallel Worlds created none the less a Masterwork. It led me to buy 8 other Ian Boddy records and 2 Parallel Worlds. Need I say more?
  40. After The Rain (DiNDDL13)
    by Ian Boddy
    00:00/00:00
After The Rain After The Rain
A basically on the spot performance that plays like a studio recording. 2 long songs in the vein of the old school space record. Much like Mechanics of a Thought and Three Dreams, Ian Boddy gives an amazing array of sound candy like the old school space music albums from the 70's.
A must have for old school electronic music fans.
  41. Unwound (DiNDDL06)
by Ian Boddy & Markus Reuter
    00:00/00:00
    Mode 5 Mode 5
A unique experiment by Ian Boddy taking the highly successful Dervish album, removing all the drums and King Crimson like jammin guitar work by Rueter and remixing and adding to make an ambient almost symphonic sounding album, that is absolutely nothing like Dervish. You could classify it as an afterthought that became it's own full work. But it's one of his best ambient albums to date. Any fan of the album Dervish might really find this interesting, and if your a Boddy fan it's a must have..
  42. Three Dreams (DiNDDL02)
    by Ian Boddy
    00:00/00:00
Trapped In Black Trapped In Black
One of several mp3 only albums ian has done in recent years. Much like Mechanics of a Thought this album is an old school space out organic album. Beautiful slow keys mixed with strange elusive sounds. 3 tracks that play as one. If you like old school sound design records..this is a great one.
  43. The Mechanics Of A Thought (DiNDDL03)
    by Ian Boddy
    00:00/00:00
    Out There Out There
A Simply stunning old school space album. 3 tracks that play as one long piece. If you like sequencers and long intermingling sweeps then you will love this record. It's great to know artists like Ian Boddy and Robert Rich are keeping the moog music alive. Ian Boddy is a Master of the moog school of music. Old school in a new world.
    Sit back and blast off!
  44. Aurora (DiN12)
    by DiN
    00:00/00:00
    Escape Velocity Escape Velocity
One of Ian Boddy's earlier albums that just blows you away. Like the title,Aurora it's a journey through space. Beautiful sequenced pieces interlaced with ambient soundscapes. If you like old school electronic music , Ian Boddy is one of the best around.
  45. Black Horses Of The Sun (DiN47)
    by Dave Bessell
    00:00/00:00
    Lament Lament
This turned out to be a highly unique and experimental work. Even though it's a DB album it's really somewhat of a collaborative effort with other artists including Ian Boddy. The album is almost symphonic in a way. Powerful, experimental, moving through many facets to create a great album. It took me a few listens before it hooked me, but when it did I found it to be really good. Well worth a listen and if your a fan of the DIN label it's a must.
