Not every band can withstand a sonic/genre shift, but Soft Kill does with such effortless grace without changing what makes them so utterly unique. Album of the year contender right fucking here.

We Made a Pact We Made a Pact
Got recommended My Name Is Jim by Youtube, which was funny and charming as fuck. Little did I know I had stumbled onto an early contender for my best record of the year. Spread the word. These dudes have serious fucking talent.

    Talking Radiance Talking Radiance
Based off Lip Sync and Under The Glass, I knew they were cooking up something good. This is killer on every level. It expands upon and bests what they accomplished on Useless Coordinates. There's a thoughtful, sinister quality everything here, a spookiness. What a revelation. It may have just unseated Glasgow Eyes as my still-to-be-determined AOTY. The core is off-kilter for sure, and spectacularly so.

Hits like an arrow to the heart. Jagged and melodic, melancholic and cathartic. This lands very safely in my top ten for the year. Having a hard time picking a favorite track...

Head and shoulders above the lacklustre Canary Yellow. MWP isn't just a return-to-form after a disappointing stumble, it's a whole god-damn revolution. This is the definition of all killer, no filler. It's bloody perfect. Album of the year material right here. Couldn't even tell you what track I loved most. They're all so unique, so beautiful, so overwhelming. Might love this as much (or more) than DKRC!!

(Yo IDIOTEQ, if you're gonna plagarize my review, have the courtesy to f***ing quote me).
