  1. Chromatic Dialogues
    by Gustavo Assis-Brasil
    Dialogue 4 (About Allan) Dialogue 4 (About Allan)
    In my opinion Gustavo is not only a kind of a new Mick Goodrick (famous Boston guitar teacher) in the sense that his approaches influence the avantgarde of contemporary electric guitarists, but foremost 1.) a important figure for the instrument in general due to the fact that he complements this North American stringed piece of wood with a palette of South-American influences and hence truely "americanizes" it and 2.) a great artist, composer and bandleader as this wonderful album exemplifies.

  3. DIRTY AND BEAUTIFUL Volume 2
    by Gary Husband
    Gary Husband belongs to the few or maybe he is the only one to have shown the familiarity of McLaughlin and Holdsworth - Yorkshiremen that changed the world of music. This may have to do with the fact that he is one of the few who still authentically follows the spirit of Debussy, Cream, Miles and Coltrane in a field that once went by the name of „Lifetime“ and has been one of the most important forces of musical innovation in the 20th Century: Electric Music with Energy and Sophistication.

    Moment=Eternity Moment=Eternity
    Stellar sound and production, the very best jazz musicians and hence interplay you can currently dream of, wonderful melodic sense and a stunning sense for album length writing, great guitar playing in the "stereorig/hornlike" - tradition of Abercrombie, Holdsworth and Rosenwinkel: This collection of many nice stones belongs to my favourite albums in recent years and for me personally ranks among Kenny Wheelers "The Widow in the Window" (ECM) in terms of creative sincerity.

    forlorn forlorn
    This music makes me happy although it obviously wasn´t programmed with this intention in mind (or was it?). It kind of coddles more crazy, mere hidden areas of my mind. These are some serious Aphex Twin/Squarepusher/Autechre level Frickel-skills, but in terms of artistic freedom, achieved anarchy and Neue Musik/Wyschnegradsky Abfucklevel I actually prefer this album over the famous pioneers (mainstream/hitfactory-producers in comparison).

    great album, more dubby, live sound then the "warp"-like predecessors. Especially love the Dub-track Urs Zimmermann. Deep!
