  2. Le Diamant De Lucifer
    by SACRIFIZER
I only got 90 seconds into the first song before I bought it. I'll be back after a few listens to leave a more detailed comment 🤘
  3. Cancer Culture
    by Decapitated
Iconoclast (feat. Machine Head) Iconoclast (feat. Machine Head)
They didn't have to go this hard, but they did, and I'm here for it. Loving the atmosphere in the last two records. Keep melting faces Decapitated 🤘
  4. Forever Underground
    by Vital Remains
    Forever Underground Forever Underground
Stank face and invisible grapefruit hands from start to end. Canon death metal - play it loud, play it proud. If you can sit through that tough-as-fuck outro riff to the title track without clenched fists and air guitar, this album isn't for you.
  5. Tibi Et Igni
    by Vader
  6. Times of Obscene Evil and Wild Daring
    by Smoulder
Ilian of Garathorm Ilian of Garathorm
The perfect soundtrack for scantily-clad head-lopping Michael Whelan fantasy sword women. Make an invisible grapefruit hand, pull a stank face, and wield your imaginary battleaxe.. or a real one if you prefer.
  7. Dream Quest Ends
    by Smoulder
  8. Rat°God
    by Inhuman Condition
    Killing Pace Killing Pace
Three tracks in on my first listen, and I smashed that 'purchase' button!

What a feast of razor sharp thrash-infused OSDM riffs - interspersed with the kind of shred you'll find in your collection of 90s Floridian death metal CDs. Raspy vocals, BUT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE LYRICS!

    by DAETH DAEMON
  12. Acts Of God
    by Immolation
What an absolute belter of an album!!! I'll be back to provide deeper thoughts and a favourite track once I've spun it a few times.
  13. Serve to Deserve
    by Benighted
It's Benighted. They'll melt your face, whatever they do. Buy the track, fuck your neck up ❤️
  14. Septic Funeral
    by Coffin Mulch
Onward To Death Onward To Death
I ended up here because of Sarah from Smoulder giving you dudes a plug through the socials. I'm really fuckin glad I gave this a spin! Authentic HM2 Swedish buzzsaw goodness, with a healthy whack of Autopsy style bowel-rumbling low end, and a perfect peppering of sludgy filth.
  15. Uinuos Syömein Sota
    by Havukruunu
Kunnes Varjot Saa Kunnes Varjot Saa
This album was my introduction to Havukruunu. It blew my head off, and continues to amaze me with every listen. Soaring chants, killer shred, thrashy palm muted riffs that pop up out of nowhere.
  16. Kuu Erkylän Yllä
    by Havukruunu
  17. Into The Maw Of Death
    by Grand Cadaver
    Grim Eternal Grim Eternal
  18. From The Sulphur Depths
    by Helslave
Rotting Pile Of Flesh Rotting Pile Of Flesh
So, I've been into death metal for a long time. I'm a bit picky about what I like, and every now and then a band comes along that just gets it right. This one slots in beautifully between a bunch of my favourites... the HM-2 buzzsaw Stockholm juggernauts, the bombastic sledgehammer that is Immolation, and the Gothenburg melodeath scene. And can we talk about those guitar solos? Damn... bring us more, Helslave!!!
  19. Unsettling Whispers
    by GAEREA
I don't really like black metal much. But... this is pitched far enough from the archetypes of the genre that I can actually enjoy it as the beautiful piece of progressive metal that it is.
  20. Deserted
    by Gatecreeper
    Boiled Over Boiled Over
Some of the best OSDM-inspired new material I've heard in a while. 'Deserted' has received a flogging in my life recently, and rightfully so. It's right up there with the HM-2 Stockholm classics, and slots in nicely with that Bolt Thrower/Obituary groove.
