  2. I'm In Love Again
by Sweet Megg and Ricky Alexander
Last Night on the Back Porch Last Night on the Back Porch
Sweet Megg & Ricky Alexander have conjured a 1930s hot jazz meets blues vibe. Megg has a confidence & nuance to her bluesy vocals. Ricky is a master of the reeds. These musicians clearly know the musical language of the times and their joy comes across in their music. Sure, they play well together, but it's more than that... There's a fun, relaxed familiarity and conviviality about the band that's very welcoming. Listening to them feels like you've stepped into a private speakeasy.
  3. Checking Out!
    by Elise Roth
Hummin' To Myself Hummin' To Myself
Elise Roth is a singer who sounds like she just stepped off the MGM backlot, ditto for her band. She's got vocal chops and range and her phrasing is great; she delivers the lyrics like an actor in a Golden Age of Hollywood musical.
  4. Vaccinate Me, Baby
    by Alpha Rhythm Kings
This tune is just the medicine to put a smile on your face and a swing in your step. Love the timely and clever lyrics (that make me smile ear to ear) but it's not just a gimmicky song; the music is solid and the band is tight. Love it!
  5. The Starlit Hour (single)
    by Jeudi
I'm delighted to share this seductive and romantic vintage jazz ballad from 1939 by Peter De Rose (m) and Mitchell Parish (w).

I hope it offers you a respite from the world's woes, touches your heart and transports you to a beautiful time and place.

  6. Mon Chéri
    by Juliet Varnedoe Jazz Band
Wow! This moody and compelling song is so rich with Cajun French New Orleans vibes. While the imagery of the storytelling captures the imagination and draws in the listener, the instrumentation, especially the accordion and the brass really anchor the song in this milieu.. Fabulous all the way around; beautifully written, played and produced. I'm looking forward to hearing more from the Cajun Bleu album!

  9. Je Suis Swing!
    by Très Bien!
I dare you to sit still when you listen to this fun and swinging track! It compels you to dance. Love the Django gypsy swing vibe and the happy vocals.
  10. More Than You Know
by Duved and his Transatlantic Five
More Than You Know More Than You Know
Wow! Here's an album I could listen to day and night. There's music for every mood, but mostly it's pure joy! This album's one of the favorites in my collection. Duved is an incredible guitarist and these arrangements feel fresh and nostalgic all at once. Such brilliant musicianship all the way around. As ever,Tatiana Eva-Marie delivers solid vocals.
  11. A Seeker's Slumber
    by Cheryl B. Engelhardt
    Unwind Unwind
Take a gentle journey through your day with this brilliantly crafted concept album. Used as part of your daily grounding rituals or meditation practice, it will help you establish a positive mindset to start your day. Or if needed, play it at bedtime to mentally unwind, de-stress and drift off to sleep. I love this music so much! By turns this album is at once affirming, relaxing, encouraging and full of powerful wisdom and enchanting images.
  12. I Love Being Here with You
    by Cait Jones
Exactly Like You Exactly Like You
On this album, once again, Cait and the Critters bring the party to each song with their hot jazz arrangements and Cait's rich toned vocals. It's a swinging celebration, for certain, but when things slow down, it feels intimate, like a party for two. The album's title is apt because you can clearly tell that Cait loves what she's doing; spreading musical joy.
  13. San Lyon "M"
by Paige Herschell, Jenna Colombet, Dani Vargas
    Golden Hour Golden Hour
This nimble trio extracts more richness, depth and emotion from these standards than most larger bands could ever hope to. Their music is beautiful, intimate, haunting and evocative of distant places and distant times. Savor this music as you would a fine wine.
  14. Elvanelle & The Escape Act
    by Kimberly Hawkey
    Dream Dream
Kimberly Hawkey's gorgeous vocals lead the listener into a technicolor world that sits perfectly at the intersection of cabaret, the golden age of Hollywood musicals, Broadway and Jazz with a few other influences thrown in, for good measure. It's a well mixed album with a rich big band sound that never overpowers the subtleties of the vocalist.
  15. Ce Biguine!
    by Charlie Halloran
    Ce Biguine Ce Biguine
Listen to this album and you will swear that you're hearing something recorded decades ago and it's not just because it was recorded straight to 78 rpm acetate. This French Caribbean meets New Orleans jazz album conjures the magic of a faraway time with it's authentic sounds and romantic, nostalgic and dreamy vibe. This is absolutely brilliant musicianship and artistry and one of my favorite albums.
  16. Stairway to the Stars (single)
    by Jeudi
  17. I'll See You in My Dreams
by Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five
This swinging song has it all going on. Great jazz arrangement, beautiful guitar solo, tight band and a vocalist who brings it home. Makes me want to dance every time I hear it- - Which incidentally is true when I listen to any of their songs. Jonathan and Hilary have put together one of the best swing dance bands around. Treat yourself to their music.
  18. Save Your Sorrow / Look For the Silver Lining
    by Molly Ryan
Molly Ryan and Maude Maggart combine their considerable vocal skills and charisma to create beautiful music together in this charming medley. It's a perfect pick-me-up.
  19. Sing For Your Supper
    by Molly Ryan
A swinging rendition of this song aptly blending the vocals of these three songbirds (Molly Ryan, Maude Maggart and Banu Gibson) into a trio that plays perfect homage to the legacy of the Andrew Sisters.
  20. Music of the Night
    by The Swingaroos
You're the Top You're the Top
This is a ticket to a 1940s NYC jazz club. The album is the perfect marriage of Jazz and Broadway, combining the finest songs from the great American songbook with incredible jazz arrangements for the sextet by Assaf Gleizner and sensational vocals by Kim Hawkey.
