it is March, 2015 and you can mark my words: this will be a seminal goth album, it has already been labeled a classic and listening to it proves why such a label is not an exaggeration, it is just a fact. An original classic, indeed, because Seven Years it not a nostalgic trip or a homage to 'the good old days', it is a much needed and welcomed revival of goth

dead is better dead is better
Double Eyelid's take on the classic Spiritual Cramp is spellbounding, it's perhaps the sort of composition Kurt Weill would have made if he'd been our contemporary and definitely one of the best covers I've heard. Dead is better is an intense tune, rich in its music and lyrics, it can be heard over and over all the while finding delicate nuances through the song, also, its video is beautifully made, do yourself a favour and go watch it

superb production, very few records out there have the level of detail that this one does, the music is fantastic, best of both worlds (EBM/synthpop, that is), every single song stands by itself, making a solid album with tunes that will fill up any dance floor, highly recommended

Darrin's powerful yet melodious voice and his insightful lyrics are just some of the reasons why any fan of synth pop should have this album. The production is flawless and the sound is fresher than it's ever been, and did I mention you can dance to it? That too

Twenty years from now I will look at this album with nostalgia and tenderness and it will still ring true in my ears and my heart, it is one of the few albums of this decade that will undoubtedly remain with me, as a limb, as an extension of my soul, forever and it will infuse me with youth and rhythm always

The World I'm Waiting For (Edit) The World I'm Waiting For (Edit)
the first time I heard Glass Apple Bonzai was live, I was impressed and urged my friends to listen, one of them said 'This makes me nostalgic for something I have not lived yet' and another 'This band is a temptation I cannot help yielding to' I agree, you fall captive to synthpop and the warm voice of Daniel X. Belasco takes you to distant and better places, this record is another piece of the puzzle, listen, allow it to breathe life into you and then go full circle and press repeat

this is an outstanding synthpop album, I keep having to place songs on a loop, these are tracks that can be played infinite times, over and over again and that is exactly what I am plan on doing

SPIT ON ME SPIT ON ME
Three songs that are much more than that, each one is so dense, so enveloping, songs that capture you and do not let you go, then again, why escape from something so profoundly beautiful?
