(I'm) Against the Wind (I'm) Against the Wind
The perfect 7" with the perfect flow. Daniel Romano is highly underrated, especially when it comes to crafting fast yet intricate punk songs. On the surface, they are straight forward, but with some serious listening, you notice all the guitar work that goes into these masterpieces. His voice often reminds me of a punk rock Bob Dylan.

    Canto! Canto!
Highlighting the true wierdness and experimentation of rock queen Cate Le Bon. I must visit Marfa someday, the odd Texas town where this album was birthed.
  6. Sympathy for Life
    by Parquet Courts
This is PC's "Pet Sounds" or "Sgt. Pepper's." Truly experimental but a logical progression from 'Wide Awake!' Strong, powerful lyrics and grooves on grooves. The LSD use is apparent in the best way possible. A true turning point in a decade-long career. Full of earworms and "oh wow" moments. The songs flow and really take you places if you let them. Listen in headphones!

Love at first listen. If I ever get back to Israel in the next few years, I need to see this band live, and check out the local scene.

Hooked upon first hearing this band. Reminds me of a "Parquet Courts on acid" or something like that. Solid band for folks with nervous energy and a mind that races.

Half Rich Loner Half Rich Loner
Randomly stumbled across this on $potify and all the singles are spectacular. Instantly hooked. Can't wait for the LP! His band Pottery is cool too, but this is hitting the spot.
