  1. CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT
    by Noizz Factor
    + Journey (12" Mix) + Journey (12" Mix)
Another fantastic atmospheric Noizz Factor album. I'm dying to have a night at the local retro arcade just to play it.
  2. SUMMER '89 EXTENDED PLEASURE
    by Noizz Factor
Seaside Relax Part 2 Seaside Relax Part 2
Likely my favorite release by Retro Spectrum Collective and Noizz Factor, this album is extremely malleable for both relaxation and focus. The coastal setting is brilliantly implied through tone, rather than relying on using natural sounds of environments.
  3. SEQUENCE
    by Robot FM
    Sequence three Sequence three
A great synth album that doubles down on a heavy rhythm and dramatic tones and effects. It's confidence and creativity transcend its tasteful cheesiness.
  4. PLEASURE GATE
    by Neon Unicorn
+ Pleasure House + Pleasure House
Neon Unicorn's first release doesn't provide anything I couldn't get somewhere else. That's why I was so floored at the creativity on display here. Pleasure gate takes a heavy focus on sexual suggestion. This could very easily come off as tacky and excessive, yet, the tone rides a perfect line between risque and off-putting. Also some subtle musak peppered in. Tonally complex, and bonus tracks are essential.
  5. SPACE GLITCH
    by Neon Unicorn
    Booka Jazz Booka Jazz
A good album (and I do want to stress that, it is good), but a little stock for the most part. Booka Jazz is a standout for it's clever use of brass, but I often find myself losing focus on the album. I only feel comfortable saying this because Neon Unicorn is consistently topping itself. I'll be honest though, the cassette design is gorgeous, and I love showing it off in my custom-made topless walkman.
  6. MEMORIES
    by Tom Crux
+ Venice Beach (Reprise) + Venice Beach (Reprise)
A fantastic debut by Tom. Memories properly foreshadows his gradual evolution as an artist, but is great enough in it's own right to return to on a regualr basis.
  7. 1st
    by Photay
    Aperture Aperture
Still Photay's best, in my opinion His culturally diverse rhythms are on full display here, and have never been quite matched since. This album made me get an account on this site. Need I say more?
  8. HD009
    by S U R V I V E
Creepy and dripping with atmosphere, but still something you can study or exersize to. Love it.
  9. Night City Trax

    Techno Techno
A lost treasure. Fantastic soundtrack for games: just a fantastic electronic album on it's own.
  10. INTERRUPT REQUEST
    by MASTER BOOT RECORD
IRQ 6 FLOPPY DISK DRIVE IRQ 6 FLOPPY DISK DRIVE
I shouldn't have to tell you how great MBR is. This is a great addition to their discography, and perfect for cranking out code when the coffee isn't giving you the extra push. It's also the coolest looking cassette in my collection.
  11. PHOBOS IN BLACK
    by Tom Crux
Long Way Home Long Way Home
{Based on black edition cassette) Such a versatile electronic album. "Phobos in Black" and "Long Way Home" are excellent mood setters for an evening at the arcade, trying to get the kill screen. The rest of the album in moody and reserved... perfect for soldering circuits or writing code.
