First heard Converge in mid-2001, just prior to the start of my senior year. Twenty years later, and with a lengthy discography to absorb, I rank them as the most consistent band I follow. Other than Neurosis, I am hard pressed to name any other long running artist in my collection who has never released a bad record. Their newest showcases new depth and nuance. Wolfe brings a vulnerability to Converge's usual abrasive heaviness, and the result is absolutely staggering.
