Deep, heavy buzzing guitar at an early Sabbath rate of speed; interesting and engaging stoner/doom riffs with no showboating; melodic tenor-baritone vocals that are both pleasing and well done - what's not to love with this slab of awesome wax? It's a record you can really be with and dig your teeth into.

Hard to pick a favorite from this transcendent collection. Filled with spirit, spirituality, memory and immediate joyful life, it walks a line between mash-up and a brand new genre. "Stretch music" reminds me a bit of what Ornette Coleman endeavored to do with his "sound grammar." Now, most of us just can't properly hear what Ornette was trying to communicate, but this music's grammar is more universally approachable (imo). Fans of jazz, world music and the musics of New Orleans should listen.
