    featured track 00:00/00:00
    Miskatonic Miskatonic
This band never really got much attention, though this album should be. Their original singer kicked ass, and really made their style come to life. Their following albums are good too, just nothing sticks out as much as this old school swedish death metal meets modern hardcore, with frenetic barking from the lady on mic.

    Dragon Hedge Dragon Hedge
A great first effort. Catchy and heavy.
Hopefully they add a real drummer for a full release, which is hopefully on the horizon. Strongly enjoyed this album.
  14. In Death We Rot
    by Bloodstrike
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
In Death We Rot In Death We Rot
The perfect mix between early nineties swedish death, and late nineties melodic death. Not a bad song on here, and hopefully there will be more to come soon.
  15. Whatever Forever
    by Oozing Wound
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Rambo 5 (Pre-Emptive Strike) Rambo 5 (Pre-Emptive Strike)
Strange band here for sure. They seem to be mixing two usually mutually exclusive sounds, with a doomy/sludgy low end, paced at thrash metal speeds. It's nice to see bands can still do something new, and their sound, at least on this album, is quite enjoyable
  16. The Meritocracy of Hell
    by Bishop Lake
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Soulless Void Soulless Void
Good old fashioned hard hitting heavy rock. Catchy and fun, with a nice boiling point.
  17. Craving To Eternal Slumber
    by Coffins
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
An Obscure Pain An Obscure Pain
    Awesome sludgy doom-death.
Really love this bass heavy band. Lotta great songs here.
  18. Horrifying Nightmares...
    by GRAVESITE
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Horrifying Nightmares of Flesh and Blood Horrifying Nightmares of Flesh and Blood
Awesome doom tinged old school swedish death, Grave meets Entombed with a bit of Autopsy thrown it. Amazing band
  19. Arrival at Six
    by SORCERY
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Master of the Chains Master of the Chains
Amazing old school swedish death metal from one of the originals!
    Amazing album!
  20. Self Titled
    by DEATHRITE
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Prophecy Prophecy
Amazing swedish death metal meets hardcore. Mixes well into my Death'N' Roll playlist too. Love this band
  21. Shox of Violence
    by MIDNIGHT
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    TAP TAP
MidNight return with, in my opinion, their best album. Raucous, raunchy, dark and heavy, but not with out a lot of gutter-fun. Amazing band, Venom eat your heart out.
  22. CHAOSBREED (CD - 2007)
    by THE PROFANE
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
God Hates Rock N' Roll God Hates Rock N' Roll
This band rocks. They remind a lot of the Death 'N' Roll band Helltrain, but with much more of a punky influence. A great album for sure. Catchy, fun but still pretty hard.
  23. Unholy Rock N' Roll (New Album - 2015)
    by THE PROFANE
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Unholy Rock N' Roll Unholy Rock N' Roll
The newest album from one of my favorite punked out Death 'N' Roll bands. More refined, but no less fun and intense.

  24. The Future Started Yesterday
    by Blacksheep
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Freefall Freefall
Picking up where there spiritual predecessors, Carcass, left off with swan song, Blacksheep add their own twist to Carcass' Death 'N' Roll phase sound. Fun, heavy, and very well done
  25. Roachstomper
    by CARCHARODON
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Pig Squeal Nation Pig Squeal Nation
Southern fried Death 'N' Roll at it's best. The deep squeals and growls, over a fried up mucky southern rock meets death metal background. Here's hoping they make another. Great damn band.
  26. The Black Horn
    by Chief Rebel Angel
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Ashes and Wine Ashes and Wine
Not a single bad song on this one. Entombed like (as the name indicates) but punkier and a lot more fun (and super short, which is fine by me). Hopefully they decide to reach more, as this and their newest EP left me wanting a lot more.

  27. From Erosion To Resonance
    by Souls Of Ghouls
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Am I Dead? Am I Dead?
the slightly mucky production works for this band. Not quite death, not quite groove, this band makes seriously listenable heavy music. Give it try!
  28. Nothing Violates This Nature
    by APMD
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Primitive Fear Primitive Fear
The relentless, occasionally thrashy, hardcore tinged with a slight nod towards Swedish death metal, on this album is truly crushing. Hit's all my sweet spots, and despite all signs to the otherwise, mixes quite well into my Death 'N' Roll mix, right with We Are The Damned, Trap Them and Doomriders.
  29. Crown Feral
    by Trap Them
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Hellionaires Hellionaires
The crazy, buzzsaw hardcore on this album is outstanding. At times nodding to old school Swedish death metal, but never losing their chaotic hardcore nut. Vitriolic, frantic and short, hardly a moment to breath is left, yet somehow. when the dust settles, manages to leave a smile on the listeners face.
  30. The Fleshland
    by Coffins
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Hellbringer Hellbringer
The sludgey kings of doom/death hit hard with this thick, brutal slab of smoldering metal. Def recommend.
  31. Into Extinction
    by DEATHRITE
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Kingdom Kingdom
I wouldn't say the tags on this album are entirely correct. I hear swedish death meets hardcore meets a slight bit of thrash, not entirely unlike Black Breath, albeit with slightly more hardcore, and much (thankfully) shorter songs (for the most part.)
  32. Complete and Total Hell
    by MIDNIGHT
    featured track 00:00/00:00
All Hail Hell All Hail Hell
The middle album from an awesome band that sound like drunken end of a night where Motorhead challenged Impaled Nazarene to a drinking contest and the guys who were still standing when it ended decided to form a venom cover band. Some of the finest most fun Black 'N' Roll I have ever heard. Def give this band a chance if you haven't already.
  33. Tombstalker
    by Tombstalker
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Bastard Warriors Bastard Warriors
The second release by old school Swedish death metal hold-outs is fantasic. It's the perfect stop gap between slight style variences from their 1st EP to their 1st full album. The slight taste of Motorhead was swapped out for the slightly blackened vocals on their newest album, though much accentuated on this release. Dismember with maybe a bit of Immortal on the voice thrown in. A great band, great release.
  34. Cemetery Wolven Ritual
    by Tombstalker
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Blood For The Blood God Blood For The Blood God
When I heard of Tombstalker (via the always outstanding Bravewords.com review section, it was on their newest full length, Black Crusades, which is one of fave albums of all time right now. This early EP is little more Motorheady than their two other releases, but I'm finding myself wishing they had run with that. By far my favorite release from an outstanding band who are still carrying the torch for Dismember, Grave, and to a lesser degree, Entombed.
  35. Black Crusades
    by Tombstalker
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Blood Thirster Blood Thirster
Dismember eat your heart out. Amazing old school Swedish death, with almost a slight blackened tinge to some of the growls. Awesome stuff.
  36. Cycle of the Werewolf
    by WINTERWOLF
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Cemetary by Night Cemetary by Night
Man, this album kicks ass. I love old school swedish death, and this is one great album. Brutal, but never crossing out of still fun to listen to. This band definitely worship at the alter of Dismember, with a touch of Grave and middle era Entombed thrown in to keep from getting stale. Basically every great swedish DM sound rolled into one tasty band.
  37. Wretch
    by Wretch
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Winter Winter
Real deep doom here. Not just another blatant Sabbath rip off, some real, deep, dark emotion behind this one. Def recommend if you like either doom, or depression.
  38. Dead Beat Glory
    by Ghouls Come Knockin'
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Backstabber Inc. Backstabber Inc.
This is one bad ass band/album. It's def what it claims. I am a big fan of Death 'N' Roll, but these guys def follow more a thrash meets rock n roll formula, and boy, is it ever fun. Heavy, enjoyable and intense. Well worth the price. Every time I listen to a song I feel the urge to come back here and change my favorite song. All of them are so damn good.
  39. Children of the Chainsaw
    by ASHCLOUD
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Descend Into Madness Descend Into Madness
Some seriously bad ass old school swedish death metal. Dismember, Entombed and even Autopsy would be proud. The pummeling melodies with neck breaking speed mixed with that excellent swampy production that this kind of metal is known for makes this album a must have for any of the aforementioned bands.
  40. DAWN OF A NEW AGE
    by MALIGNANT TUMOUR
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Behind The Mirror Behind The Mirror
A lot grindier than their later albums, but a great start. Like if Motorhead decided to do a grindcore album
  41. R´N´R ENGINE (split album with GURKHA)
    by MALIGNANT TUMOUR
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Saddam Hussein is rock´n´roll Saddam Hussein is rock´n´roll
Amazing deal with all the bonus tracks. Bad ass all around as I have come to expect from this massively underrated band.
  42. THE METALLIST
    by MALIGNANT TUMOUR
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
I want to die with no pants on I want to die with no pants on
A lot of truly outstanding metal came out in this great year of 2016, but, even including the new Testament album, this is by far my favourite.
  43. EARTHSHAKER
    by MALIGNANT TUMOUR
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Death from above Death from above
Every. Single. Track. Kills. Hardest thing about this album was deciding which track was my favourite.
  44. IN FULL SWING
    by MALIGNANT TUMOUR
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
We are the metal We are the metal
Another Malignant Tumour where every track is amazing. Their sound never gets tiring.
  45. BURNINHELL
    by MALIGNANT TUMOUR
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Obssesed by hell Obssesed by hell
Amazing album by a band quickly becoming one of my faves. Not quite grind, not quite punk, not quite death, but just right none the less
