I had an absolutely miserable day, but evolved it into an unforgettable evening by picking this album up, turning it on in the dark, and rewatching SOLARIS through this aural refraction. It made the work newly elliptical for me.
I’ve been absolutely hollowed out by the emotion in these melodies. I explored the game itself for the first time last night, and the elegy in the music provoked my deepest sympathy as I tearfully watched creatures struggle in a crying world. I’ve never had a video game bring me to tears before. Bravo to all involved.
