  1. In Love With The Danger
    by jacket. & OVRGRWN
oh man, it's great to hear something fresh from OVRGRWN, and this collaboration makes perfect sense. the ethereal synthscapes jacket is known for woven together with the expansive production sensibilities and liquid vocals of OVRGRWN is pure bliss.
  2. The Last Chase
    by Morgan Willis
    Déjà vu Déjà vu
what a blast of retro infused synthpop tracks! each one has a different flavor, ranging from classic rock vibes to more early 90's bap, but they are all catchy AF, with an ear for innovation to keep the sound modern and fresh.
  3. Cyborgs On Parade
    by DISTANT REALITY
Cyborgs On Parade Cyborgs On Parade
how is one person responsible for this incredible display of cybermetal craftsmanship!?! these tracks are a near perfect blend of dystopian synth-scapes and punchy metal song structures, where guitars shred over driving rhythms that are drenched in gritty neon hues.
  4. Vigilante
    by DISTANT REALITY
OMFG, this is such satisfying metalwave! it pounds its way into your skull and refuses to leave.
  5. Messiah v2.0
    by DISTANT REALITY
    Outcast Outcast
more epic shredwave with an insanely infectious metal core that really sets this artist apart. the focus on chugging guitar and drum track syncopation are a perfect foundation for the layers of synth and guitar solos to thrive.
  6. Temple Serpent
    by Judge Bitch
    Miracle Mission Miracle Mission
spaz-tastic shredwave that is a full-on assault in the best possible way. kinda sounds like the Doom, Altered Beast, and Battletoads ost composers met at a party, realized they were all metal heads, and decided to start a band. guitars rip and harmonize over kicking rhythms, augmented by synth wizardry to give the whole album an otherworldly dungeon crawl vibe.
  7. Dead Tesla - False Memories [EP]
    by Dead Tesla
Bloody Pom Poms Bloody Pom Poms
it's wild how different the sound of this EP is from the Decay album, but no less fantastic. this definitely leans more into the chill synthwave side of the artist's muses and the guitars are once again on highlight, amping up all the feels. throw in an excellent Kate Bush remix and this is an instant buy.
  8. Decay (Album)
    by Dead Tesla
    Artificial dreams Artificial dreams
this is a cyberpunk blast full of gritty, aggro energy that screams from start to finish. and when those guitars kick in, it just hits a whole different level. it's hard not to draw comparisons to early Carpenter Brut, but the inspiration is by no means derivative as the artist has clearly defined their own identity in the space. most excellent!
  9. RX-81
    by Stilz
RX-81 (feat. Castroe) RX-81 (feat. Castroe)
though a familiarity with the inspiration for this album probably helps appreciate some of the nuance, it really isn't required to enjoy everything that's going on here. there are some great laid back / atmospheric vibes, as well as more high energy tracks punctuated with a disco feel. superb synthwave bliss!
  10. Heatwave
    by Max Cruise
    Speedway Speedway
another epic sax-pop release from a nearly one man show that is the master of his craft. the sax rips over ballads and bangers alike, accompanied by lush neon scapes layered with nuance. and though this release leans more into the soft jazz side of fusion, there's plenty of adrenaline to fuel a sunset drive down the boulevard.
  11. Go Your Own Way
    by PRIZM
what a brilliant pop interpretation of an absolute classic. this version bounces all the way to the end, at least as anthemic as the original. good luck humming anything else for the rest of the day.

gotta shout out to that sax tho 🙌
  12. Don't Stop
    by PRIZM
    Don't Stop Don't Stop
another classic track gets the PRIZM treatment, a bubbly refraction of the original that's irresistible.
  13. mini mix vol. 1
    by Magdalena Bay
U Wanna Dance? U Wanna Dance?
these mini mixes have a quirky and irreverent core to them, especially in the context of their accompanying music videos. but there is so much more going on just beneath the surface, a labyrinth of textures, production, and melodies.

this particular mix has some fun, tropical vibes in the more energetic tracks but also an ache summarized by a contemplation of the cosmos eroding. the evocative range of this mix is staggering.
  14. mini mix vol. 3
    by Magdalena Bay
    Top Dog Top Dog
this mix feels like a logical conclusion, where the indie-psych sound is fully blended with bouyant synth-pop sensibilities for a wildly unique experience. it's breezy and carefree, but with a biting undertone to balance out the bliss. another Mag Bay classic.
  15. mini mix, vol. 2
    by Magdalena Bay
    Sky2Fall Sky2Fall
the thing that sets Magdalena Bay apart is a consistent meditation on apocalypse and mortality as an inspiration for living it up. Sky2Fall's bubble gum pop masks its heavier themes perfectly, creating the gem of the mix, with Body coming in a close second. there's a bit more experimentation going on, with an indie-psych sensibility that's been given the Mag Bay treatment.
  16. The Ghost and The Highway
    by Droid Bishop
woah, that was my first impulse buy, where I saw the album artwork and felt the necessity to hear the music immediately. effing fantastic track; up beat, driving rhythms and synth textures, punctuated with a slappy bass and scratchy guitars.
  17. A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling
    by Magdalena Bay
    Airplane Airplane
this is a concentrated blast of blissed out synthpop, as catchy as it is intelligent. the layers of production are rich and varied while the most intoxicating vocal melodies thread it all together. infectious, raw, and smooth as hell.
  18. It Was Always Gonna Be Like This
    by THRILLCHASER
    GAME GAME
this album is a gleaming gem of late 80's / early 90's inspired synthpop that goes nonstop. the compositions are surprisingly varied, but each one has been meticulously crafted to be catchy AF. from head bopping struts to intense, raw power ballads, the instrumentation and vocal melodies interwine to nail every note. collector's item!
  19. Mercurial World
    by Magdalena Bay
Dawning of the Season Dawning of the Season
less buoyant than PRIZM, more upbeat than Cannons, this retro inflected psychedelic synthpop draws from a wide variety of influences to create a fascinating blend. some tracks have an experimental and artsy edge to them, which breaks up the overall blissed out sound of the album perfectly. and the vocal stylings are an ethereal guide to your journey as you're flung through cosmos in epic style.
  20. Everywhere
    by PRIZM
never purchased something without listening to it first, but PRIZM has officially changed that. no regrets, fantastic track!
