She felt rough sand under her palms. For all the waves around her, her hands had come to rest serenely upon the ocean floor. Her body tossed and flipped. She landed upside down, the rush of water filling her ears, nose, mouth. Sounds of crashing water cascading- penetrating her mind to tear down thoughts. Like the sand castle she had built to withstand the tide, her thoughts came down around her.
