  1. Call of the Unknown
by Light comes from the abyss
    00:00/00:00
I am reasonably convinced that this band can do no wrong.

  5. Silent kings
by Light comes from the abyss
    00:00/00:00
"Silent Kings" is driving, yet melodic - an impressive first release.
  6. Versus The Ghost

Home, Far Away Home, Far Away
Very rarely am I unable to select a single track that truly stands out from a good album. But it's the great records that leave me unable to pick a favorite. This is one of those albums. Versus the Ghost's debut is excellent - Think GIaA-style post-rock with the track lengths of prog. I have not had hopes this bright for a band in quite a while.

  8. Left To Rust and Rot
by If These Trees Could Talk
    00:00/00:00
This track gives me a feeling of determination amid loss. Sorry if that doesn't make sense. :) But even by If These Trees Could Talk standards (uncompromising excellence), "Left to Rust and Rot" is superb. The band's three guitars are on point - no messing around here.
  9. Biome Fest

    00:00/00:00
Chill, wonderful, and quirky. Reminds me of building structures underwater in Minecraft. If you need some thoughtful background music for your creative endeavors, look no further.
  10. Taswell
    by C418
    00:00/00:00
Taswell reminds me of the blocky creativity of Minecraft. So, when I listen to it outside of the game, I am still inspired to creativity in real life.
  11. We Come From Exploding Stars
    by Moonlit Sailor

Minutes From Somewhere Else Minutes From Somewhere Else
WCFES is a stellar album. Who knew post-rock could be this inviting? Check out Minutes from Somewhere Else and From Gemini to Lynx, both of which are ethereal yet congenial.
  12. Barren Lands of the Modern Dinosaur
by If These Trees Could Talk
    00:00/00:00
This track starts with chiming, ambient guitars - then it adds a vigorous drumbeat before the three guitars build into an epic mountain of sound. Probably the best song on a fantastic album.
