Portrait feels like home, childhood, and love all wrapped up into a single experience. Hovvdy has captured a very consistent aesthetic between these last three songs and Billboard for My Feelings. 10/10 would Hovvdy again

This record has been such a massive inspiration to me and my own music. The storytelling and sonic identity of 1000 Backyard Pools is unique, iconic, and a brilliant blend of sound collage, intelligent music production, and just really great lyrics and songs.

Helen won over our hearts with her self-titled Skullcrusher, but where her first record is a cozy mulled wine, Quiet the Room is the finely aged wine of the Skullcrusher mythos. Brilliant direction and production, hauntingly beautiful.

Possibly the best addition to my 'Amsterdam' playlist of songs titled Amsterdam. Keyboard Dog just absolutely knocked it out of the park. The EP as a whole is exceptional from stat to finish, but you simply can't beat the uplifting melody, the hopeful warmth, the earnest lyrics, and the nostalgic feel of 'amsterdam.' Of all the songs about Amsterdam, this is the only one that truly makes me want to visit the city, and at the same time makes me want to visit Boston.

An absolute classic.

The earnest vocals, somber lyrics, and gorgeous instrumentals transport you to a place where you've never lived. It's eerily familiar, but brand new.

Not only does this record feature "See the Day" from the final episode of BDG's Dances Moving, it also has some of the best instrumentation, production, and songwriting ever from Jonah Scott. A truly incredible musical experience.

Everything you loved about Sufjan's composition style for The BQE... but make it Chopin. Phenomenal. When vinyl comes with sheet music it's an instant 11/10.
