  8. Romancing the Ether
    by Hemina
Hemina is extra special to me and my wife. Every album they make is jam packed with pathos and prog goodness. this is the album that really puts it all together. Venus might be my favorite album of theirs, but Romancing the Ether is a beautifully orchestrated 35 minute track that touches on everything Hemina has to offer with a couple surprises on the way.

TL;DR: Romancing the Ether is a bloody masterpiece.

  15. Extreme Transgression
    by Transgressive
"She looked directly at me and said "fuck you pig"" The moment I fell in love with this album. Trans rights, ACAB, civil rights, this is probably the most comprehensive protest album I've ever heard. The riffs are tight, the bass sounds phat and the snare is kinda perfect actually.

Trans rights are human rights 🤘
  16. Culture of Abuse
    by The Hushed Suffering
I love Lascaille's Shroud, and while Brett has dipped his toes in filthy disgusting riffs, none of them compare to this. This sounds like it could have been recorded in 1992 (in a good way), this is classic OSDM with some of the filthiest riffs you've ever heard.

  20. Defenestrate the Magistrate

Thrash can be a hard sell for me, but when you get leftist lyrics, a good harsh vocalist and a well structured 10 minute long thrash epic, well sign me the hell up. Alicia combines her riffs with songwriting prowess to deliver us the sort of anti establishment thrash epic we deserve.
