I first discovered Ivan Drever, one of Orkney's well-hidden treasures, through his work with Wolfstone, and was compelled to dig into this artist's extensive catalogue, from Bless the Wind back to the overlooked Knowe O'Deil.

A lovely surprise on these early recordings is the voice of Caroline Drever--particularly the beautiful rendition of Road to Dundee. So glad these recordings are available! As an amateur trad folk nut, with a special interest in the music of the Celtic nations, I always enjoy finding these unfortunately obscure offerings.
