Picking our favorite between these two is pretty much impossible. They offer such different moods - one a bitter slice of blues-rock with a great Paul Simon/Richard Julian vibe, the other a gorgeous tribute to Joseph's love for Mary, not a million miles removed from Randy Newman. How do we choose?
Fortunately, we don't have to. Vol. 6 might be the best Old Man Winter yet - like all of Ben Smith's offerings, it's smart, beautifully produced, and wonderfully Christmassy. Get it.
