    Dancing Dancing
I'm going to be real - I bought this because I wanted a clean cut of Mary Gold's Dancing, and this delivers. If it's a needledrop, it sure sounds like it's punching well above its weight.
The rest of the cuts are excellent nonetheless. Great package!
  13. Ecuatoriana - El Universo Paralelo de Polibio Mayorga 1969-1981 (Analog Africa No. 37)
    by Analog Africa
    Mi Paisa Mi Paisa
I had no idea how Polibio Mayorga positively dominated Ecuador's music scene - nor how humble he was about it - before this album. I tracked down interviews with him and he is revered as some sort of musical saint, and I can certainly see why. These are infectious cumbias that burrow into your brain and never leave, with synth textures totally unique in the continent. The secret MVP here though is not Polibio but Olmedo Torres, with a sax that is so beautifully soft and precise...

  15. Hay Algo Sinfónico Entre Tu Y Yo
    by Pedro Castillo
    Tiempo Tiempo
Escuchar estos temas que han pasado a la historia y se han elevado a ser parte del fundamento de la música venezolana con bellos arreglos orquestrales es mágico. "Cada minuto cada hora..." - y todo se disuelve en un bello momento.

  17. Habibi Funk 018: The SLAM! Years (1983 - 1988)
    by Hamid El Shaeri
    Ayonha Ayonha
An Egyptian friend had sent me playlists for a long while, and a name kept coming up over and over - Hamid. As soon as I saw that Habibi Funk had it for sale, I snapped it up, and this era of Hamid is one I cherish very much: relaxed, yet confident, with a wide soundstage on each track.
Ayonha feels like you can loop it forever, sinking into its infinite vibe.
  18. Музыка витражей
    by Анатолий Фомин
    Равновесие Равновесие
I have loved Anatoly Fomin since I first listened to Pendulum of Feelings; such a beautifully ethereal and joyful sound. Listening to it here freed from terrible Melodiya vinyl and coming straight from the master tapes, Fomin's mastery over synths is clear, and it is stunning. I especially love the last track, which feels like an eternal track you can easily lose yourself in.
  19. Sabor Surf Compiled by El Palmas & El Drágon Criollo
    by El Palmas Music
  20. Live at the Waterfront (Vol. I)
    by Jerry Galeries
Days of Summer Days of Summer
A celebration of everything that makes Jerry Galeries so great. Brimming with energy and joy throughout, and the relentless optimism that drives Jerry's music.
If you love city pop, you must give this a shot.
