Arguably set the gold standard (next to Elvis Costello, with whom Nick Lowe obviously has a long history) for smartass snark-rock. Pure pop for now people, now and forever.

This is a straight-up masterpiece of an album. Not a weak track among the bunch. Forget all the "retro" nonsense the Twigs tend to get slapped with, because while they do reach back into the music of yesteryear, when the songs are this good—when the production is this stellar—when the Everything is this Harmony—why should it matter?

Besides, the Twigs obviously have a deep love for their music. If it was deliberately "retro," it would be disingenuous and horrible, and this is far from either.

I appreciate the irony of my song (Stealing Music) being featured on a compilation called "Amazing Production Sounds" when it very deliberately sounds like shit (albeit the good kind of 'sounds like shit' that's cool and not the bad kind of 'sounds like shit' that sucks)

PS—shoutout to Zhir Vengersky (zhir.bandcamp.com) who technically is also featured here as he is responsible for the guitar solo on the song

This album is like aural heroin. I was sold on it from the jump. However-many minutes of exquisite psych-pop heaven.
