There is so much I could say about this album and just how beautiful it is; the extremely intricate stories Joanna Newsom weaves in between detailed and deceptively playful melodies, the narratives she creates in this album are a result of her trying to navigate 3-4 major life events that she had went through in the year prior to recording this album, where the lyrics seem like a puzzle piece that only she can put together. I don't think there will ever be a single album that can outshine Ys.
