I so love this for the subtle diversity offered by the chameleon this artist obviously is - jazz, indie, folk, pop, avant garde, a fusion perhaps? The one constant is her and constantly fabulous she is.
The beautifully understated & subtle nature of Nighttime, Rachel's voice, emotive semi-narrative delivery & the lyrical content perfectly married to a sparse musical accompaniment. A wonderfully produced gem.
It's the vocal delivery and lyrics so subtly enhanced. A contemporary near-otherworldly approach at near minimalistic arrangements that offer "just" enough support of the voice to render the listener captured.
