Kez Gi Sbasem (I'm Waiting for You) Kez Gi Sbasem (I'm Waiting for You)
Superb restoration effort by Ian Nagoski of one of the classic Armenian-American singers of the 1940s, of what later became labelled Kef Music. Not to mention the writer of the (now overplayed) theme song of the entire genre, "Sood E, Sood E", which has travelled back to the Middle East and Armenia.

    by Canary Records
Great reissue of some incredible early Armenian-American sides. I love each and every number on this release. Many are favorites in my own collection and many others I am indebted to Ian for making available. The soulful roots music of the Armenian-American community. A slice of Armenian life in Anatolia that doesn't exist anymore back in the Middle East.
