    by Elay Arson
    00:00/00:00
Digital Cyber Demon Digital Cyber Demon
Haven't even listened to this shit yet, but I saw the track titled "Digital Cyber Demon," listened to it, heard the voice of Asterios Kokkinos, and immediately purchased it. Who knew an improv sketch about The Polar Express could inspire some dank fucking darksynth?

Nice little EP. Kinda more of the same from Xetrovoid, but that is in no way a bad thing. If you like his other stuff you'll like this.

This song is a creeping nightmare that worms its way into your soul and leaves you feeling rotten inside. In short: fucking awesome.

    Digital Asylum Digital Asylum
A collection of absolutely jaw-dropping music hampered by some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard. Digital Asylum, Unknown 13: Golem, Gates of Hell, Seven Trumpets, Death Commando, Only Flesh, From Beyond: All amazing. Mayday is endearingly cheesy. Digital Empire and Midnightmare lay on the cheese a little too thick, and Rise of the Leviathan is downright unlistenable. What's worse is that the vocals themselves are incredible! Very talented voices here, wasted on bad lyrics. Still worth buying!

Someone call NASA, I found proof of dark energy's existence. This is it. The whole album vibrates with high-energy rhythms that demand your attention, while at the same time evoking the dark, bleak vibe that makes me love darksynth so much. Well worth the asking price.

Dethklok wishes they were this brütal and dark. This is where Occam's Laser found his stride. Some of the best darksynth out there, hands down.
  20. Nowhere To Run
    by Xetrovoid
    00:00/00:00
    Outnumbered Outnumbered
I can't actually decide which track is my favorite as they're all so goddamn good. This album is packed with the stuff that makes me like Xetrovoid so much. Looking forward to whatever he comes out with next.

  22. Cyborg March
    by Xetrovoid
    00:00/00:00
    Cyborg March Cyborg March
Xetrovoid feels like he's straddling the line between synthwave and chiptunes, making for a sound that is at once pretty unique and surprisingly familiar. And of course, as a cyborg, he's got a good bit of metal in him too. Catchy melodies, heavy beats, and a strong ambient background dominate here.

Is that a motherfucking theremin? Yes, that's a motherfucking theremin. And it sounds far more awesome than I thought it ever could. Some of the brightest-sounding dark synth I've ever heard.
  29. Inner Demon
    by Meteor
    00:00/00:00
Of Steel And Stone Of Steel And Stone
Of Steel And Stone isn't actually my favorite song on here, because they're all so good I can't pick one. Meteor's got this 80's movie sound on lock. Every track here is catchy and fun to listen to. If they ever make a movie adaptation of Mind Quad, I'd want Meteor to score it.
  30. Migration 2019
    by Fixions
    00:00/00:00
    Droid Witch Droid Witch
Fixions is clearly some sort of time-traveling weirdo from a possible dark future, using a digital device to turn his mind-altering future drugs into really great music with a dreamlike quality that's unlike anything else out there. Love this album.

  32. Hypercube
    by Glitch Black
    00:00/00:00
    Hypercube Hypercube
Interdimensional space skeleton made of lasers Glitch Black makes his music, I assume, by plugging directly into his brain and just thinking distortion and awesomeness at us. This album is frenetic and catchy and has a unique sound to it that just gets its hooks into you. And only four bucks!
  33. Dominus Infernus
    by Glitch Black
    00:00/00:00
    Dominus Infernus Dominus Infernus
Three words describe this album: Dark, dark, and dark. Also dark. It sounds downright evil, like a nightclub in Hell. If you like any of his free stuff, do not hesitate to plunk down some cash for this album. You will not be disappointed.
  34. Death Spiral

  35. Interdimensional
    by Glitch Black
    00:00/00:00
    Face Breaker Face Breaker
Less focused than his later stuff for sure, but even here that ineffable weirdness that defines GB's unique sound shines through. The seeds of what would eventually bloom into Hypercube were clearly planted long ago. This is good stuff. Enough said.
  36. Police Heartbreaker
    by Absolute Valentine
    00:00/00:00
    Bad News Bad News
Who doesn't love a good bit of cheese? Very, very 80's, without falling into the trap of thinking that's enough to make for a good synthwave album. Absolute Valentine is right up there with Meteor in terms of quality, though different in flavor.

I'll admit that I bought 20SIX Hundred's entire discography based on a loose recommendation by another artist I can't even remember, because hey, 7 bucks, can't beat that. Much of it wasn't to my taste at first, but his work is growing on me, and this album is spearheading that growth. Worth a listen, at the very least!
