Numerous tracks on this album remind me a lot of the first couple of Green Day albums from the early 1990s. I knew that their frontman Billy Joe Armstrong wrote some of their early songs as far back as the early 1980s from articles and interviews but I didn't know quite where his influence may have come from until I heard some of the content on this album - a number of the songs sound very proto-Green Day.
