I've been a fan of Frozen Crown for a while now. Now I won't sell that they're reinventing the wheel here. But from a technical level and from a metal angle this shit is good.
This has to be the best dark synth album I've heard in my life. Hell I'd say it borders on R&B with the emotion put into the lyrics. They're is genuine pain behind them and I can't help but love it in a dark and twisted way.
These boys do old school metal proud and I mean that in the best way. Forget about the likes of Wolfmother, Greta Van Flee, and the Black Keys. This young dudes blow al of them out of the water and their just getting started.
It's a shame these guys aren't bigger. But I'm glad bandcamp exists because there's no way I would have heard of these guy otherwise. This has to be the cleanest track transitions I've ever heard and that's not even touching on the amazing attack of the instruments. These guys bring a new meaning to metal for sure. the delivery and nature of this album is so original.
This is a interesting album in the sense of the instrumental mockup per se. It's heavy yet light, delicate yet brutal. It almost feels like a punk album but by the way of folk metal.
Let me start by saying as a New Yorker I might be a bit biased toward these fellas. But with that being said this is some crazy mind bending stuff. It is some of the hardest metal I've had the pleasure of digesting and understanding. I highly recommend anyone sit down with a stiff drink and give this a try on a quiet evening.
It's punk by way of Marylin Manson always wanted to be. is what I would say if I didn't know better. If this is the future of punk music I'm glad Jello left the ages ago. This both makes you want to headbang and delve deep into your own soul to understand what makes you tick.
I'm not normally into R&B but I love Public Speaking. I'll admit that the subject left me broken for a few days and on the verge of tears my first few listens. I'd highly recommend anything from Public over any of the R&B in the mainstream industry.
I'd be lying if I said I knew what the guys were singing about. But this album makes me want to learn their native tongue. It is something makes you want to go into battle somewhere on the plains of Mongolia for sure.
Being the dingus that I am I almost want to mention their asses but I shall stay my tongue. But this is more of the same from the ladies again and I can't fault it. If you like minimalist pop punk I'd recommend it.
