    Harlequinesque synths flash a yellow-teethed grin while flipping the bird at Black Metal. Then however, these same circus synths take little Black Metal by the hand and lead him towards the flickering forest where he can run with the polygonal wolves.

    Another new promising project using EZDrummer or similar software, luckily though, without trying to sonically conceal the drum computer. Haunting, eerie and well written songs display a cool melange of drum computer straight to the grid, aggressively reverb-laden shouts, old school riffing and arcade game dungeon synths. Another step towards the computer age future of Black Metal.

    A promising and fresh approach towards digital Black Metal. Sound effects that may appear almost comical when reviewed in isolation yet perfectly manage to add weight to the gloomy atmosphere of the songs. Many projects overthink it and work hard to achieve studio sound, while Old Nick's reduced records have the best BM vocals I have heard in many years.
