DISSIDENT TAPES vol 1 is an exciting new beginning to Roman's hand in hip-hop. There's a lot of personal experimentation, which means there are a couple of misses, though through the wide mix of different sounds and styles are on display, there are a lot of great moments and beats that show a higher potential.

I mean this positively, but I would've loved to hear vocals over tracks like Nothing But You, SPACED OUT and that eerie feeling too as those were some of my favourite beats on the tape.
