one of the realest albums I own. her voice is beautiful and raw. I've fallen in love.

One of my favorite albums! Thank You for this beautiful music! I've listened to the entirety of this album over and over and it never gets old. even my 6yo, who doesn't now the words, can't help but to join in when he hears the the harmonies. The hand written "Thank You" letter was a special touch that I cherish.

this work is what got me deep into jazz. first heard his horn on Boogie's EVERYTHING'S FOR SALE. Looked him up and found STRETCH MUSIC! THE CENTENNIAL TRILOGY bridged that gap between hip hop/r&b and jazz for me. Amazing musicians are featured with Scott throughout this work. one of my favorite albums to date!

Had the pleasure of hearing Valerie live in Homer, NY. She performed in an old church; just her, her guitars, and of course her baby banjolele. the house could barely contain her. I have heard just about everything she has ever done, but the songs had a new and raw energy about them. her voice is powerful beyond belief. I took the opportunity to meet her afterwards at the meet and greet and she was so kind, patient, and had the best energy about her. that day is a highlight in my life.

I never knew I would love this style of music like this. Michael Hurley gives raw performances that make you feel at home with him.
