    One of the darkest Caretaker-releases there is, turns out the 30's and 40's were awful times to be alive. A haunted ballroom roamed by souls of the people whose lives ended long ago. Echoes of their old favourite songs playing on and on, hoping for some kind of recognition.
    We have been here before.

    Putting this on in the rainiest of evenings makes for an atmosphere I wish I could stay in forever.
    Came from your works as The Caretaker and I have to say, I'm loving your other works too.
    Waiting day in and day out for new works to appear, like a light at the end of the tunnel. Buying this was definately worth it.

    This has to be one of the most haunting Caretaker works there is. Short segments looped over and over again and
    drenched in reverb makes for a very unnerving experience but I got used to it eventually. Glad to see that this
    album has been getting the recognition it deserves.

    I remember being frightened by this album, not just the length but also the mood of it all.
    These once pleasant songs have now sunk deep into oblivion and been given a whole new mood, that being familiar yet unfamiliar in a strange but comfortable way.
    Forever grateful. C'est fini.
