Great songs, well played, sung and produced! Powerful and moving lyrics, be they songs of social commentary (Wonderland, Humanity, Brook's Soak), or reflections on life and love.
The band's second album, and what a beauty!! Recorded and mixed over 5 days (at Palamino studios - Myponga, SA), Mercy and the Sea has a rawer feel than their first album (Wonderland) and takes the trio to the 'next level' artistically, brilliantly showcasing their combined creativity with this set of diverse and moving songs. Hard to pick a favourite track - too many great songs! - but I went for Lilly of the Valley as maybe the album's "hidden gem".
