On Squid's debut, Bright Green Field, the quintet does a masterful job of weaving in experimental and avant-garde ideas with pop and punk motifs. The tunes are sometimes groovy, sometimes thoughtful, but always interesting. This release makes me very excited to see where Squid goes next!
