To call this simply "post black metal" is a disservice. Theres goth, post-punk, shoegaze, prog/kraut influences. Creative arrangements and superb instrumentation. Dripping with melancholy and yearning. 9/10
Their best album to date. Complex arrangements with tons of layered synths, guitars, textures. The westerny twangy guitar gives a Gun Club vibe. Vocals complement everything with a deep baritone.
I didn't think they could top Dark Synthetics but this album rules. The songwriting is more mature, and the production is top notch. Heart-wrenching vocals/lyrics. Might make you tear up a bit.
