album of the year?????????

this album is a time capsule, and it has always been so special to me. every time i listen to it, it brings me back to preschool; to my grandparents' old house; to my first backyard; to the big empty lot behind my elementary school. so much of my childhood is in this album, although when it came out i was a few years too old to be a preschooler, and my grandparents had already moved. there's just something so nostalgic about it. fills my head with sunshine :^)))

such a fantastic band !! maybe i am one of those more casual fans, but i think there's a bunch of super neat stuff in here, and i get to own the first few Badge releases as an added bonus <3 the Remy tape is especially awesome!! i'm not usually a huge fan of bootleg recordings, but i think this one just really works.

powerful, enveloping instrumentation and incredible screams. literally everything i could possibly want out of a metal album. awesome.

so creative, and super fun! reminds me a lot of the music that shaped my taste throughout high school.

i heard this song and immediately had to buy their whole discography

one of my favorite albums of 2022; i had to get this pressing as soon as i saw it. so pretty!!

i'm no good so i'll let everyone else do the talking abt how great this album is bc i have more important things to talk abt like that it was recorded in my hometown!! i was walkin around a stupid little ten-year-old and they were in the stu makin this album less than a mile from my house!! what!!!!!

Town Portal's first two albums were some of the earliest purchases i ever made on Bandcamp, and those songs have all been earworms ever since. i am sure these will be the same :^))) very different in style, but the sound is just as haunting as it always has been and i love it !!
