Great arrangements. Minimalistic but very effective. This version of Hate This Pain is heartbreakingly beautiful. Simply amazing.
  11. Semi-Impressionism (kk020)
by Tetuzi Akiyama + Toshimaru Nakamura
Great duo. Minimalist guitar playing with Nakamura's NIMB improvisation. Great blend between acoustic and abused electronics.

Very much in the style of her self-titled album but a very welcome addition because it's just as good (and maybe even a little better) as the album.

Fantastic playing. The band has great chemistry. The music is daring but never pretentious.

Love the gritty recording quality of this album. It feels like being at the actual performances in a dimly lit café with experimental music.

The noisiest/harshest of Nakamura's solo albums? Not an easy album but probably my favourite of his solo work.

Such a great album. It's catchy and full of personality without being too cheesy. Got to love Invada Records.
