In the burgeoning synthwave genre, it's getting increasingly difficult to come across quality albums. Sunset Love definitely stands out from the crowd.
I really like "Clarity" and "Real World" for their feeling of gradual but deliberate movement. The instruments have changed, but the feeling I get is the same as "Dark Groove" from JJ2, but more uplifting.
Many of the songs on this album stand up as real Christmas/winter playlist material (sneaked it into our family Christmas playlist seamlessly). The interconnecting dialogue gets you into the Christmas spirit, although some of the more fanservice-y songs were sort of forgettable.
