This album pulls together so many of the essentials for me: top notch musicianship, delicious and evocative lyrical solos, and the each individual element seamlessly woven into an engaging musical tapestry. The variety of rhythmic styles and sounds that both honor and challenge the jazz genre. It's just yummy!!
