Late 70s early 80s vibe. Album is sick. The sax and piano in battered and bruised took me by surprise and I love stuff like that. Just had that late 70s groove embedded in the metal that I feel like some nwothm bands aren't hitting.
Listened to these guys/guy(?) for a couple of years now. Whenever I come back to them I always think the same thing from my initial reaction "is this shit even real man?" Destructive as hell (ha!). One of my favorite high/sleep albums. The riffs on this are so euuughh disgustingly heavy. Fav track is helmzmen, fav riff is wandering soul. There's one part in Subodin where the vocals sound so inhuman, like an electronic bloop and I love it. Listen to it in its entirety.
Favorite track is devil's night doom. It's gotta be, the riff during "burn the city down" love it. I'm relatively new to this album though, I've listened to their others since release. But it's acid witch come on, you know you're in for a fun ride
