This album plays like a soundtrack to a 70's era game show where contestants compete to dance the best using only head bobs. It's so great. Catchy songs are punctuated by instrumental gameshow funk that achieves a good balance of actual feels and, at times, humorous odes to the genre. Perfect for keeping your soul light and your groove hard. I'll def be tuning in again to the next episode.
Downloaded this game in a boring bathroom stall and now I have to hum the theme song ALL THE TIME. Catchy as hell and kinda difficult to sing all the right quirky pitches. Hard not to whistle it while biking around town joyously.
Sets a beautiful tone for a beautiful game. Between the synths and the compositions themselves, this album gives me the sensation of "expansion". Favorite way to listen: bike from Oakland toward and onto the Bay Bridge. Let the view of the Bay and the city skyline open up to you as you hit "Compass" or "Sync".
